2025 was a year of settling in. I’ve been in Brooklyn for ~2 years after moving from West LA and have found my footing in a city I never thought I’d end up in. Some highlights:

Hiked the Salkantay Trek in Cusco over 5 days
My sister had her first kid and my other sister got married
Started throwing pottery and was absolutely horrendous at it
Watched 3 NBA games in 3 different cities
Got promoted
Bowled my highest score ever
Saw friends and family back home

Here are a list of maxims (some new and some old) that somewhat sums up my learnings in 2025:

Expertise starts with a beginner’s mind
Success requires payment in advance
There is no shortage of ideas
Luck favors the prepared mind
Relationships are a two way street
Being great is being good consistently
Be with your loved ones often
Call your parents
Execution eats strategy
Walking helps you think
